Last Christmas Wham!
Russell Brand could make up to £20 million in his divorce from pop star wife Katy Perry.
Reports suggest that Katy and Russel didn't sign a pre-nuptial agreement so under Californian law Russell would be entitled to a 50-50 split of the couple's assets, despite only being married for 14 months.
Brand announced over the weekend that the couple's marriage was over with his lawyers filing divorce papers at Los Angeles Superior Court citing 'irreconcilable differences' between the pair.
The 'Firework' singer, 26, fuelled speculation their marriage was in trouble after spending Christmas with friends in Hawaii while Russell was pictured with pals back in Cornwall, UK.
Once the news had broke, Russell told The Daily Star: "I’m doing good. Everything is going to be better next year."
Reports suggest that Katy is worth around £45m with Russell's fortune thought to be £11m, therefore, assets totaling around £56m look set to be split evenly.
Meanwhile, Rihanna has been comforting Katy following the news, offering her friend the chance to fly out to Barbados to stay with her and her family.
