'Cowell's' charity donation

Simon Cowell's firm has agreed to make a donation to a music charity covering the costs of a legal run-in over the name of one of the X Factor acts.

His company Syco was in a dispute with music charity Rhythmix over the rights to the name after one of the girl groups in the show took the same name.

The quartet were eventually renamed Little Mix, but the charity was left £8000 out of pocket due to the trademark row.
