Biggest Celebrity Bust Ups Of 2014
Remember THAT brawl between Orlando and Justin in Ibiza? Or the time Solange Knowles totally lost it in a lift with Jay Z? Course you do - who doesn't secretly love a celeb spat! We look back at 2014's most famous fights so get your popcorn at the ready, peeps...
1. Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom
Justin and Orlando hit headlines this summer when the British actor threw a punch at baby faced Bieber during a night out in Ibiza. The Pirates of the Carribean star was reportedly grabbing a bite to eat with Hollywood great Leonardo DiCaprio when the US singer approached their table. Leo apparently shoo'd Biebs away causing him to verbally lash out, but BFF Bloom was having none of it and threw his best punch at the 20-year-old to protect Mr D. And there was us thinking it was about Miranda...
2. Jay Z and Solange Knowles
This battle between Beyonce's hubbie and her baby sister had the rumour mill whirring at lightning speed. Has Jay cheated? Are they getting a divorce? With no answers as to why, the three released a joint statement saying: 'At the end of the day families have problems and we're no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We've put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.' A tough ask for anyone that's seen the shocking video footage! If ONLY there was sound...
3. Sinead O'Connor and Miley Cyrus
Miley may have used Sinead's 'Nothing Compares To You' video as inspiration for her 'Wrecking Ball' hit but that's where the similarities end between these two (bar the shaved head). O'Connor reached out to the controversial songstress earlier this year with an open letter warning her she was being 'pimped' out by the pop industry, but it fell on deaf ears. Responding with a tweet mocking the 90s singer's rumoured mental health problems, Miley made it clear she wasn't listening! Harsh, much?
4. Max George and Michelle Keegan
Partying with your ex is awkward, right? Actress Michelle Keegan seems to think so as she reportedly made that crystal clear to her former beau Max George after he tried to enter the same VIP section as her and fiance Mark Wright in Marbella. Although the Corrie star denied trying to get The Wanted star kicked out of club Pangea, Max tweeted: 'Great night again In Pangea... “Don’t let him in”... Soaps don’t have that power kids. Embarrassing. Is that fame?' The tweet has since been deleted.
5. Tina Fey and Taylor Swift
Tina Fey loves to crack a joke or ten but Taylor Swift isn't laughing. After jibing at her string of famous ex-boyfriends during a comedy sketch, the Date Night star received some prickly criticism from the Shake It Off singer during an interview with Vanity Fair. Taylor said there was a 'special place in hell for women who don’t help other women,' apparently referring to Tina's quip. Wowsers. Let's just put this feud down to a very, VERY different sense of humour...
6. Lily Allen and Katie Hopkins
Katie Hopkins is known for her motormouth, as is Lily Allen, so when the two collide we know about it! Which is what happened when the former Apprentice star hit out at Lily for putting on weight during her pop hiatus. But in true Allen style, she replied with a string of tweets putting Katie back in her place. 'Yes, after tragically losing a child so late into my pregnancy I may have gained a few pounds. I am one of many that find comfort in food.' Eesh. Maybe Katie will think twice next time!
7. Alan Sugar and Tulisa
Tulisa and Sir Alan's feud wasn't quite as fiery as Solange and Jay Z's but nevertheless, their spat made us chuckle. It all started when The Apprentice boss took to Twitter to ask his followers 'who the hell this Tulisa bird is'? Come on Al, it's not like she hasn't been in the press. But the former X Factor judge tweeted back branding him 'an ugly hobbit' and telling him his actions were 'embarrassing u miserable old man' (sic). Know who she is now, Alan? No, didn't think so...
8. Kelly Brook and Katie Price
We're pretty sure these two have fallen out every year since the dawn of time so it was no surprise these fellow glamour girls are still going at each other's throats. Earlier this year Katie slammed Kelly's relationship with ex-fiance David Mackintosh during her weekly radio show, saying: “I don’t think they’ll last. Prove me wrong, I hope they do. I met him once, maybe twice. I don’t really know him.” Hmmmm, not sure Katie can bill herself as the next Mystic Meg after the year she's had!
9. Denise Van Outen and Natalie Cassidy
Nat and Denise's row centred around different parenting styles. The former Eastenders star threw the first (verbal) punch - she's not Orlando! - saying: 'Denise Van Outen went back to work after two weeks because she said she needed to feel normal again. I just think, what have you had a child for? Having a child should be your job.' Shortly after, Nat took her baby on TV allowing Den to get her two bob by calling her a hypocrite, adding: 'She can stick her trumpet where the sun don't shine.'
