Dec Could Be Going Solo As Ant Is Tipped To Take A Year Off

Ant and Dec Split

For the first time in 23 years our favourite TV duo could be parting ways.

Ant and Dec go together like bacon and eggs or cheese and wine - one without the other just wouldn't be as fab!

But sadly, due to recent events which have seen Ant McPartlin admitted to rehab for an alcohol and prescription drug addiction, we could be seeing the boys separated for up to a YEAR.

The presenters who front some of TV's biggest shows, including Britain's Got Talent and Saturday Night Takeaway, have been one of the UK's most famous double acts since they were thrown together on kids TV drama Byker Grove in the 90s.

But recent reports are suggesting ITV will be giving Ant a year off work to fully recover, leaving Declan Donnelly to host winter projects such as I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here alone!

An source close to the star told the Daily Mail that no official decision has been taken regarding Ant's work schedule in the near future yet but it's assumed that the channel won't rush him.

They told the paper: "Formally, Ant has no work commitments until November and obviously the hope is that he will be completely better by then and able to fulfil them".

If the TV star does want to take a year out we wouldn't blame him! The Geordie pair's presenting schedule is incredibly gruelling, in particular I'm A Celebrity which whisks them to Australia just before Christmas to shoot the reality show.

Although we'd happily head to the jungle and replace Ant if they needed....!
