Girls aloud reunite

The girls will regroup once more for their 20th anniversary tour.

Former Girls Aloud fans should start dusting off their 'Sound Of the Underground' vocals, as Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Nadine Coyle are getting back together!

Thanks to Cheryl, the girl band are set to reunite just in time for their 20th anniversary, with talks of the ladies taking their hits on tour.

According to reports from The Sun, although Cheryl remained close pals with bandmates Nicola and Kimberly, the X Factor judge recently reached out to Sarah and Nicola with the prospects of reforming the group.

All five members are now believed to be back in contact for the first time in years, with plans already in motion for an alleged reunion tour.

Girls Aloud was first formed back in 2002 on the ITV singing competition, 'Popstars: The Rivals', going on to have a string of twenty top ten hits including four number ones.

But in 2013 the group announced their split after their 'Ten: The Hits Tour' came to an end.

The news comes just after Nadine cancelled her recent gig dates, telling fans that "it was becoming impossible to achieve what we had wanted"

In a statement she wrote, "I am so sad to say I'm not able to do the tour at this time. I am so sorry and really wish things were different, but for many reasons it is not meant to be.

"You deserve the best show possible and with such big venues and very little dates it was becoming impossible to achieve what we had wanted to do.

"Everything is a lesson and this is definitely one for me. Thank you for your continued love and support!"

Although the ladies have yet to confirm the news themselves, Cheryl dropped a huge hint at the band's reunion with an emotional post about the Girls Aloud ladies late last year.

Posting a picture of her Nicola and Kimberley she wrote: "Sitting here drinking coffee with these two and watching babies 15 years later !!! Crazy how time flies...

"15 years ago today some of the best, craziest years of my life were just beginning. I had no idea what a life journey I was starting out on. We had some of the most amazing times of our lives and made some incredible pop moments to put the cherry on top
