It was the first time that Jonnie had danced using a prosthetic blade.
It was week two of Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend, and the favourites are already starting to emerge.
Aston Merrygold danced a super fiery salsa to 'Despacito', which included so many lifts that his partner Janette Manrara spent more time in the air than on the dance floor.
Alexandra Burke gleefully received a standing ovation after dancing a mesmerising Paso Doble, which earned her the highest score in the series so far.
And Paralympic athlete Jonnie Peacock strutted his stuff with a pacey jive on a new prosthetic blade, and it was nothing short of incredible. After having his right leg amputated below the knee at the age of 5 due to contracting meningitis, pro sprinter Jonnie is the first celebrity with a disability to ever compete in Strictly.
Jonnie's efforts on the dance floor at the weekend earned him huge respect amongst Strictly fans, who sent Twitter into meltdown:
Jonnie was amazing and just goes to show that having a disability doesn’t stop you from achieving anything #Strictly— Ibrahim Banks (@TheShowOff85) September 30, 2017
Jonnie Peacock doing the jive was quite inspirational. What an effort! #Strictly— Daniel Richardson (@gadget80) September 30, 2017
Jonnie Peacock what an absolute star you are, amazing x #Strictly— Mary Thomson (@MaryThomson8) September 30, 2017
Week 1 of the competition saw Jonnie and his partner Oti Mabusi dance a slow, romantic waltz to Luther Vandross, and his performance at the weekend was in stark contrast. Jonnie, who took to twitter after receiving glowing feedback from the judges, was clearly pleased that hours of practise were worth it in the end:
Currently in a comfortable sixth place, the two-time Paralympic gold medalist could well be on his way to gaining the top spot in this season of Strictly if his first two dances are anything to go by.

We are looking forward to seeing Jonnie move again this weekend - and may we say we love the hair!
