If you walked past Lisa Riley on the street and didn't recognise her from her days as Mandy Dingle on Emmerdale, we'd totally forgive you. Because, if she's honest, even Lisa sometimes doesn't recognise her reflection.

Lisa, 40, posted a throwback photo of herself when she was at her biggest and captioned it: "Sometimes it hits me,TRULY don’t recognise the person in the other photo, feel proud of choices I was ALLOWED to make, decided to make change."

The Loose Women star has admitted that she dieted for almost two years to achieve her new look. She recently underwent surgery to remove the excess skin left behind after her weight loss.

Delighted fans rushed to congratulate the actress. One said: "Wow Lisa! I only recognize you from your dimples! Saying "well done" doesn't even begin to give you congregations deserved."

Another added: "This is incredible in every way. Inspirational stuff, Lisa - and the positivity it has had on you *radiates* out on stage!"

Lisa took the time out to reply to some fans, telling them that it has taken a lot of hard work to get where she is today.

However, Lisa recently revealed that she doesn't always get such a supportive response.

Speaking about online trolling, she now says that people say she's lost too much weight. "They say 'You're gaunt, you've gone too far.' One person said: 'You look like a cancer victim!' But I have to learn to shrug it off."
