Set years before the Oscar-winning Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hobbit tells the tale of a young hobbit named Bilbo (Martin Freeman) and his incredible adventures. Sir Ian McKellen reprises his role as Gandalf the wizard… And then there's Gollum!
'We were really pleased with the way the story was coming together, in particular, the strength of the characters and the cast who have brought them to life,' Jackson said to E! Weekly at Comic-Con.
