"Adults Will Weep With Tearful Nostalgia!" 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Reviews Are In!
"Terrific", "triumph" and "thrilling" are just some of the words that have been used to describe Director J.J. Abrams’ widely-anticipated sequel, with some claiming it's reclaimed the glory of the original trilogy back in 1977.
After what seemed like a life-time of waiting it's only a week until the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' arrives on the big screen, and judging by some of the reviews it's set to be the stand-out film of the series.
"Adults will be floored by tearful nostalgia because this is a classic," wrote The Times Critic Kate Muir in what makes clear the famed Sci-Fi fantasy epic has regained it's former glory. She also praised the film as "humongous piece of cinema" which gives fans " exactly what we were hoping for."
The Daily Mail's Brian Viner claimed the film was "a triumph of escapism and the most exhilarating film yet in this mighty franchise".
If that wasn't enough The Telegraph's Robbie Collin admitted to crying THREE times, claiming director JJ Abraham and his team had "taken a slightly tattered franchise and restored its sense of magic and myth".
As for Harrison Ford's return as Hans Solo, the critic was more than impressed calling the him "terrific" and crediting the actor for giving the character a "rough-chinned world-weariness that's perhaps not entirely acting".
New faces amongst the cast also won over journalists, with Daily Mail's Brian Viner applauding Daisy Ridley as "the real star of the show", before noting that her performance as Scavenger Rey would send her career "into orbit".
The reviews come after the world premiere of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' on Monday night, with some flocking to Twitter to share their thoughts.
