A Colin the Caterpillar cake won't do for Mrs Carter...
Have you and your mates ever piled into a photo booth to capture a special occasion? Well, when you’re global superstar Beyonce Giselle Knowles Carter, your friends have to go that extra mile for your birthday.
The ‘Lemonade’ singer turned 36 yesterday, and 18 of her nearest and dearest decided to make it memorable for her. They all posed in a wide-brimmed black hat, long braids and plenty of jewellery to recreate Bey’s look from the ‘Formation’ video. The result was striking.

Incredibly, one of the women involved was former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama. Wow. Like, seriously - wow.
Beyonce and husband Jay Z were longstanding and visible supporters of President Barack Obama during his time in the White House. It’s nice to see that their mutual appreciation continues, and that Michelle is letting her hair down – literally – now that she’s left Washington.
Also included in the tribute were the singer’s former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. We like to think that Michelle Obama organised the whole thing by getting on the phone to them, singing: “Kelly, can you handle this?” “Michelle, can you handle this?”
Tennis icon and new mother Serena Williams also paid tribute to Beyonce, who had recently congratulated the Wimbledon legend on becoming a mum.
Adorably, Blue Ivy Carter also dressed up as her mum.
Earlier that day, Jay-Z led the crowd at the Made In America festival in Philadelphia in singing Happy Birthday to his wife.
Now, how are they going to top this next year?
