Rihanna's Met Gala Outfit Is The Internet's Favourite New Joke
2 May 2017, 09:53
The singer turned heads at last night's Met Gala in an outrageous outfit, and of course, the internet responded hilariously!
When it comes to fashion, Rihanna knows what she is talking about.
She rarely fails to look chic and has even designed her own range of clothes for the likes of Puma, but at last night's Met Gala was it possible that the 'We Found Love' singer went just a bit TOO far?
She's notoriously worn off the wall outfits to the prestigious charity event before. Remember this yellow number from 2015?
It was the perfect meme fodder for the internet, and the same thing has happened again with poor Rihanna's outfit from this year's event.
She wore an elaborate avant garde Comme Des Garçons dress which was so 3D we are wondering how she sat down for dinner?
The witty people of Twitter took no time in thinking up hilarious memes of Ri Ri's extravagant dress and we have to admit, they're pretty funny...

It's not something your average Joe could wear but despite how wacky it is, we have to say it was show stopping! And if anybody can pull it off Rihanna can.
One Twitter user, Queen Quen, shared a hilarious parody video of some pretty weird and believable Met Gala outfits she made from stuff found around her home.
We're sure we've seen Lady Gaga in one of those once?
If you're not familiar, the Met Gala is a star studded event that takes place on the first Monday in May every year and has done since 1971.
The occasion is in aid of the Metropolitan Museum Of Art Costume Institute in New York. It also marks the opening of their annual fashion exhibit and the theme of the exhibition is also the theme of the yearly Gala.
This year it was Res Kawakubo/Commes De Garcons: Art of the In-Between in honour of the celebrated Japanese designer and her label, hence why Rihanna and many other attending stars were wearing the luxury brand.
