Alesha Dixon signs up to BGT

Alesha will join David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell in latest series of Britain's Got Talent.

Alesha, 33, left her role as Strictly Come Dancing judge and within hours was announced as the latest addition to the judging panel for the 6th series of Britain's Got Talent.

Dixon will receive a reported £350k pay packet after being convinced to move over to ITV by Simon Cowell, revealing her excitement for her new role.

"I am delighted to be joining the judging panel of Britain's Got Talent for 2012. It's a fantastic show and I am very excited to be working with Simon, David and Amanda on the search for a new star."

Cowell added: "I love Alesha. She is feisty, opinionated and knows what it’s like to be both a competitor and judge on a hugely popular TV show."

The judging panel is completed by regular Amanda Holden and Little Britain star David Walliams with the show due to air in Spring.
