Bryan Ferry taken ill

Roxy Music frontman Bryan Ferry's been taken to hospital after falling ill.

The 65 year-old had been due to attend an event at London's O2 Arena, but instead had to be admitted for tests.

It was initially feared the singer had suffered a heart attack but this was denied by a spokesman who said: "He was having tests as a precautionary measure, having felt unwell recently".

The style icon had recently finished a world tour with his reunited band Roxy Music.

He is due to start a four-and-a-half-month-long solo European tour, starting in Israel on April 19 - which a spokesman told Sky News will go ahead as planned.
