Cheryl snubbed again

Instead, ITV has confirmed that Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland, N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh will take up places on the panel instead.

It marks the end of a difficult week for the glamorous geordie, having been sensationally axed from her role on the US version, apparently due to a 'lack of chemistry' and/or her strong accent.

It has been claimed that Cheryl was demanding more money to return to the British X-Factor.

Recent public opinion suggested that the show would suffer without Cole, however, Simon Cowell backed his new team.

He told ITV: 'These four are totally up for it, each of them brings a different attitude,’ said the former judge who is heading the US version.

‘They have had a ton of hits between them and they are all committed to finding a star,’ he added.

Barlow, 40, said he was ‘extremely excited’ about working on The X-Factor.

‘My one goal is to find a global superstar. If I don’t find one, I won’t have done my job,’ he added.
