The devastated mother has rejoined her daughter after the actress tragically passed away from a heart attack aged 60 just days ago.
The 84-year-old US actress has died, following the untimely death of her beloved daughter Carrie.
Reynolds was reportedly at her son Todd's house planning for Carrie's funeral, when the tragedy struck.
Speaking to the Associated Press news agency about his mother's death, Todd stated: "She's now with Carrie and we're all heartbroken.''
The US entertainment news site TMZ reports that the heartbroken mother became inconsolable whilst discussing plans for Carrie's funeral with her son, telling him: "I miss her so much; I want to be with Carrie."
The TV and film world have been sharing some touching tributes to the loved star, famous for her role opposite the great Gene Kelly in the hit musical film 'Singin' in the Rain'.
On hearing the sad news, American super star Bette Midler said that Debbie had been "devoted to her craft" and that her death was "too hard to comprehend."
William Shatner, star of Star Trek, declared Reynolds one of the last of the Hollywood royalty.
Meanwhile flame-haired actress Debra Messing of Will and Grace fame, called her on-screen mother "a legend", "an inspiration" and "the epitome of clean-cut American optimism, dancing with Gene Kelly as an equal, a warrior woman who never stopped working.''
Meanwhile after the devastating passing of actress Carrie Fisher, many famous faces from Hollywood, including Star Wars co-stars took to social media to express their shock at losing the 60-year-old actress.
Mark Hamill who played the role of Luke Skywalker in the sic-fi-film franchise alongside her tweeted that he had "no words" and was devastated to hear the news.
Harrison Ford, who famously starred as Han Solo alongside fisher expressed his sadness at the loss of his friend Carrie Fisher.
"She lived her life, bravely ... My thoughts are with her daughter Billie, her Mother Debbie, her brother Todd, and her many friends. We will all miss her."
And George Lucas - who is the creator of 'Star Wars' and chose to cast Carrie as Princess Leia in 'Star Wars: A New Hope' in 1977 - praised Carrie's "very colourful personality" and said "She was our great and powerful princess. She will be missed by all."
She is survived by her 24-year-old daughter Billie Catherine Lourd who is also an actress and stars in the US TV show Scream Queens.
