For the second year in a row Katie price is forced to abandon her race due to a knee problem.
Katie was proud to have completed the event in 2009 even though her knee gave way during the latter stages.
And it's that troublesome knee that has caused her to pull out again this year, having also done so in 2010's event.
She wrote on her official website:
"It is with great regret that I have had to pull out of this year’s London Marathon. I’ve been training really hard, but it became apparent at the Silverstone half marathon (6th March) that my knee is not strong enough to withstand extensive runs. I have done everything I can to get over the injury, but my physiotherapist has said that I should pull out to avoid any long-term damage."
"I intend to double all the donations that are not returned. Good luck to all of the runners this year, I know how hard it is and I have nothing but admiration for you all."
