Actress Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to four months in prison for stealing a necklace.
Lohan had originally insisted that she was innocent of the theft from a shop in Los Angeles in January but then pleaded no contest to the charge.
The 24-year-old was sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours community service.
The judge instructed Lindsay Lohan to report to jail on or before June 17.
But the Hollywood star's lawyer said Lohan could avoid spending any time in prison by serving her sentence at home where she would be monitored electronically with a tag.
Judge Stephanie Sautner said: "Any early release on house arrest seems to be a triple bonus...(But) I am not about to battle the sheriff.
"I do order that while under house arrest she is not allowed out to do community service."
