Early Breakfast with Jenni Falconer 4am - 6am
After more than 50 years of courtship, film director Michael Winner has finally wed his long-time love.
The 75-year-old made an honest woman of 70-year-old Geraldine Lynton-Edwards.
The couple met in 1957 when he was a 21-year-old film-maker and she was a 16-year-old actress and ballet dancer.
Half a century later, Winner and Lynton-Edwards emerged from Chelsea Old Town Hall in west London as man and wife.
The director-turned-food critic said it felt "terrifying but wonderful" to be married after so many years.
Before jetting off to Portofino, Italy, for their honeymoon, the newlyweds paused on the steps of the town hall to share several kisses under a shower of confetti.
They were joined by actor Sir Michael Caine and his wife Shakira, who were witnesses to the ceremony.
