The National Movie Awards countdown

The event will take place in London today, with Take That and JLS performing live to a star-studded audience

The "British Oscars" will be a glitzy event, with plenty of stars descending on the capital to celebrate a year in film.

The National Movie Awards will take place today, Wednesday 11th May, at London's Wembley Arena.

The full nominations are:

Best Drama: Black Swan, The King's Speech, 127 Hours and The Social Network.
Best Comedy: Due Date, Just Go With It, Little Fockers and Paul.
Best Animation: Despicable Me, Gnomeo and Juliet, Megamind, Tangled.
Best Fantasy: Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows; Part 1, The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Tron: Legacy
Performance Of The Year: Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter, Jennifer Aniston, James Franco, Rupert Grint, Natalie Portman, Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, Geoffrey Rush, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeff Bridges and Ben Barnes.
Must See Movie Of The Summer: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, The Hangover Part 2 and X Men: First Class
One To Watch - Brits Going Global: Jamie Campbell Bower, Henry Cavill, Andrew Garfield, Tom Hardy, Felicity Jones, Luke Evans, Alex Pettyfer and Andrea Riseborough. 

JLS and Take That will perform live, with the Fab Five debuting their new single, Love Love.  The song is also the soundtrack to director Matthew Vaughn's latest film, X Men: First Class, starring James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, January Jones and Kevin Bacon.
