Sir Bruce Forsyth to host his own show

The veteran entertainer is set to perform a host of songs at the Royal Albert Hall next year.

The 83 year-old Strictly Come Dancing host is celebrating his amazing 70 years in showbiz by performing a selection of swing tunes with a full band.

"I can't believe it's been such a long time since I last did what I love best, working to a live theatre audience", Sir Bruce is quoted as saying on the Royal Albert Hall website.

"It's how I started and what I did for so many, many years. Television is great but for me as a performer nothing compares to a live theatre show."

As well as the swing numbers, Bruce will also perform some of the songs from his recent album These Are My Favourites.

The announcement follows the knighthood he received last month from the Queen at an investiture at Buckingham Palace.
