"Top Cat" gets 3D remake

The cult cartoon is brought back to the big screen

The new film, due to be released in August, will see Top Cat and his friends being threated by a new technologically skilled police chief out to get the Hoagy's Alley gang and get rid of Officer Dibble.

'Top Cat is an iconic and much-loved character known by nearly every parent in the UK' said Vertigo Films Rupert Preston and Allan Niblo.
'We are thrilled to be bringing Top Cat, his mischievous gang and Officer Dibble to a whole new generation.'

"Top Cat" was broadcast in the US from 1961 to 1962.
