TV presenter wins lottery live on-air
Presenters were visibly stunned when a £1.5m lottery drawn live on air was won by one of their colleagues.
Global anchors Sophie Lui and Squire Barnes were shocked when they realised the winner was their colleague, sports reporter Barry Deley.
Mr Deley won a country estate worth the equivalent of £1.5m in the Lottery draw announced live on Global's Noon News Hour in Canada.
He wasn't in the studio at the time but Mr Barnes called him live on air to break the news to him. "You know people are going to think this is kind of fishy," said Mr Deley who was at a supermarket when he got the call.
Chances to win the jackpot were estimated at one in 288,000.
