We're closer to the final of Strictly '17 than we are the start, and it's fair to say that as we made ourselves comfortable to watch more celebrities tread the tiles, we were all still reeling from Aston Merrygold's shock exit last week.
Tipped to be the favourite, Aston was given the boot over Mollie King last week, and it proved that NO-ONE is safe.
This week saw us say goodbye to This Morning presenter Ruth Langsford, as she found herself in the bottom two against Paralympian Jonnie Peacock. Poor Ruth made several blunders in her performance, despite having improved week on week. As she prepared herself to dance a second time in order to prove herself worthy of staying in the competition, judge Bruno Tonioli appeared to have few words of encouragement for the TV presenter.
When host Tess Daly looked to the judges for some words of wisdom for Ruth to take into her performance, Bruno hit out with the scathingly sarcastic remark: "It's Strictly, it's not ascot darling." He then added: "Try not to go wrong and if you go wrong, try to mask it. Smoke and mirrors, darling!"
Unimpressed fans took to social media after feeling that Bruno's cutting remarks were uncalled for:
Looked on by her husband Eamonn in the audience, Ruth was the final celebrity to be eliminated ahead of the live shows for Blackpool Week next week. The TV series is taken to the origin of ballroom in a special episode, where the remaining contestants will battle it out at the world famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
This episode kicks off on Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC1, with the result show airing the following night at 7.15pm.
