On Sunday 21 February, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts will present Vanessa Redgrave with the Academy Fellowship at the Orange British Academy Film Awards ceremony at London’s Royal Opera House.
Every year the BAFTA's highest accolade is bestowed upon an individual in recognition of an outstanding and exceptional contribution to film.
Vanessa Redgrave will join other great actors like Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, Steven Spielberg, Sean Connery, Elizabeth Taylor, Julie Christie, John Barry, Stanley Kubrick, Anthony Hopkins, Judi Dench and last year’s fellowship award was given to Terry Gilliam.
Vanessa's acting career has covered six decades and in that time she has also received countless BAFTAs, Oscars, Tony's, Golden Globes and Emmy nominations.
The Orange British Academy Film Awards will be hosted by Jonathan Ross on Sunday 21 February.
