Bake-Off Fans Rejoice! Selasi Has Some HUGE News That Will Tantalise Your Tastebuds

Bake Off Cavas

This isn't the last you've seen of Selasi, as he will be making a tasty comeback VERY soon.

If you fondant fancied the pants off Selasi Gbormittah and still find yourself reeling from the injustice that saw him eliminated from the Bake Off tent last week, then we've got some good news.

The devilishly gorgeous semi-finalist is making a comeback with his own bakery.

Speaking to the Radio Times following his untimely exit from the show on Wednesday night, Selasi revealed that although he loves his day job (banking), he is "hoping to open a bakery somewhere in west London in the foreseeable future".

Our tastebuds are salivating as we speak.

Busy evening last night seeing as I had some oranges that needed using. "Chocolate Orange Cake with Figs and Pistachio".

The 30-year-old banker failed to impress Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood on Wednesday night's patisserie-themed semi-final when he served 'very raw' palmers, came last place in the technical challenge and made fondant fancies that were deemed too "basic".

Selasi had been a long-running favourite on the show, and fans took to social media in an outpouring of national grief to commemorate the 'people's champion'.

Since leaving the show, the laid-back baker took to Instagram to share his appreciation of support from fans as he reflected on his time in the competition.

Baker, Biker, Banker! HA.... What an intro into the legendary tent! Such an honour and proud to have been selected as one of the lucky 12. Entered with a smile and leaving with an even bigger smile and a BIG slice of cake hehe! WOW!!! The #GBBO experience is unreal! I can honestly say I've met a crazy, funny and awesome bunch of guys #friendsForLife. I have baked for ppl one could only dream of baking for (Mary, Paul, Sue, Mel, the Crew) and I have come out of the experience a much much better baker. This has been a massive learning curve for me especially at times where I performed badly! Cough cough #churros! Thank you ALL sincerely for the massive following, support and belief! The journey is just BEGINNING. I can finally cry (virtual tear); it's been incredibly overwhelming and humbling. Hope I managed to create some sort of baking influence out there! Merci Time for the next adventure #WatchThisSpace #GBBO #LiveForYourPassion #DontStressJustBakeAndEnjoyIt #GBBO #TeamSelasi Amazing #CakePops by my good friend @sally_mays_bakes

Selasi's departure from the show leaves Candice Brown, Jane Beadle and Andrew Smyth to battle it out in the final three in hopes of being crowned Britain's best baker.

He'll be missed!
