The iconic cult film is back and the cast have changed A LOT since the first film...

It's one of the most iconic cult films of all time and now fans of the original 'Trainspotting' will be thrilled to know that the first teaser trailer has finally dropped.

What's even more exciting is that the follow-up to the 1996 gritty film sees the original cast Ewan McGregor, Robert Carlyle, Jonny Lee Miller and Ewen Bremner reprise their respective roles as Mark Renton, Begbie, Sick Boy and Spud.

It's safe to say the gang have changed in appearance since they first hit our screens two decades ago. Lead character Renton has ditched his skinhead hairstyle for a trendy crop while Sick Boy is visibly more grey haired.

The trailer comes after director Danny Boyle confirmed that he got the cast on board for a sequel to coincide with he film's 20th anniversary.

It's not yet clear exactly what the film will be about but it is thought to be an adaptation of author Irvine Welsh's follow-up book.

The film is set for release later this year so watch this space!
