Young Hugo Cabret (Asa Butterfield) was given a strange mechanical figure with a heart-shaped keyhole by his late father (Jude Law). Now living in the hidden spaces of a Paris train station, where he must constantly dodge the stationmaster (Sacha Baron Cohen), orphaned Hugo encounters an adventurous girl named Isabelle (Chloe Grace Moretz).
She's intrigued by his life, and he's astonished to find that the key she possesses fits the bizarre automaton. Once it's unlocked, they find themselves propelled into a fantastic adventure that Isabelle describes as "Neverland and Oz and Treasure Island all wrapped into one".
Celebrated director Martin Scorsese's dazzling first 3D film is an adaptation of Brian Selznick's bestseller 'The Invention of Hugo Cabret'. Shot in England and France, its all-star cast also includes Christopher Lee, Ben Kingsley and co-producer Johnny Depp.
