The latest 007 movie, starring Daniel Craig and Dame Judi Dench has become the biggest grossing film in British box office history.
Skyfall, the 23rd instalment of the James Bond movie franchise, has earned a staggering £93.4 million in the 40 days since its release.
The total takes the film storming past the previous record holder, James Cameron's 2009 effort Avatar, which made £94 million in 11 months.
The figures do not take inflation into account, but Skyfall's co-producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are nonetheless delighted with their latest outing.
'We are very proud of this film and thank everybody, especially Daniel Craig and Sam Mendes, who have contributed to its success,' they said in a statement.
Skyfall is the third time Craig has played James Bond, with the 44-year-old having signed up for two more 007 films.
