Dad's Army Star Ian Lavender's EastEnders Christmas Storyline Has Been Revealed!

The 70-year old actor is returning to Walford this Christmas in his role as Derek Harkinson.

As Christmas nears ever closer we're finding out more and more about what Christmas telly will bring!

And one festive TV staple for sure is the soaps.

It has recently been revealed that Dad's Army star Ian Lavender will be returning to EastEnders as Derek Harkinson for a Christmassy storyline. 

His character first came to Walford back in 2001 when he starred on the soap for four years, and he will certainly be making a welcome return for fans.

The story so far is that he will be involved in the local amateur dramatic company, the Walford Player's, performance of A Christmas Carol.

He'll be getting stuck into the preparations for the play, but outside of that, what has brought Derek back to Albert Square remains to be seen.
