That could've been tragic
Line Of Duty Fans Think They've Cracked The Case Of Who 'Balaclava Man' Is!
Line of Duty has us all on the edge of our seats and now fans have taken to Twitter to give their theory on precisely who 'balaclava man' is!
Line of Duty's explosive new season left us with a humungous cliffhanger last week when DCI Roz Huntley, played by Thandie Newton, was left at the mercy of forensic officer Tim Ifield's electric knife.
Spoiler alert! Look away now if you haven't seen episode two...
Last night we were all stunned to find Roz as right as rain instead of being left for dead in Tim's flat in what looked like pretty gruesome conditions.
Despite being another hour into the show, there are still many HUGE questions that fans are waiting for the answers to!
Will evidence bag KRG-13 come back to haunt Roz?
She overheard an evidence bag reference containing some of her blood from the crime scene as KRG-30 instead of KRG-13. When it came to swapping the sample for some of Tim's blood, it was a bit of a botch job and she ended up scribbling the 30 out and replacing it with 13....a bit sketchy if you ask us.
Is Michael Farmer guilty?
Michael Farmer is still locked up in a grim cell that has been smeared with the word Beast written in a very dubious looking brown substance (probably faeces) and is visibly struggling. But events in last night's episode are leading us to believe more and more that Roz used Michael as a scapegoat to pin the blame on somebody.
What is with DCI Buckells?
There must be a more sinister reason he's been introduced to the show other than to merely replace DCI Huntley on the Operation Trapdoor case. This is Line of Duty after all, it can't all be what it seems...
And also, he's been involved with AC12 before!
Who is Balaclava Man?
After last night, fans have been taking to Twitter with their own theories of who 'balaclava man' might be, and one is pretty unsettling!
He's not been in the limelight as much as other characters in the series but there's definitely something fishy about him.
After all, during the first episode when Roz got the call to head to Michael Farmer's house and save Hana Reznikova from the fire, we know Nick wasn't at home with the kids. She tries calling him telling him to get home as she's been called to work.
Which means he was unaccounted for at the same time the crime was committed....hmmm.
An even more farfetched theory flying around the web is that her husband rescued her from Tim and now Roz is trying to cover for her man.
After only two episodes everything is still very hazy, so we'll have to wait and see if things clear up next week!
Will we ever find out who 'balaclava man' really is?
Apparently it tastes great...
