Seriously Addictive Shows To Hunker Down To This Autumn
It's official, our social lives are OVER now that these shows are on the small screen...
Great British Bake Off, 24th August
Telly's most heart-warming show is back on our screens as Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood set about finding the nation's best baker once again. 12 new bakers will take to the kitchen to try their hand at the judge's tricky recipes, but who will come out on top as star baker?
Victoria, 28th August
Jenna Coleman has bagged her first lead role since starring in 'Dr Who' and it's a meaty one to say the least! The lavish eight-part drama sees the brunette beauty star as a young Queen Victoria and details the monarch's early life right through to her coronation and her marriage to Prince Albert (played by the gorgeous Tom Hughes!)
The X Factor, 27th & 28th August
Simon Cowell is set to return with a new panel of judges as the talent show returns to the small screen. The likes of Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger are all set to reprise their roles as judges while Dermot O'Leary returns to host the show after a year hiatus.
Auditions kick off this weekend and we can't wait!
DCI Banks, 31st August
Hooten And The Lady
If you like 'Death and Paradise' or 'Dickensian' then this show is for you, as the makers of the hit shows are gearing up to bring us their latest project. This British drama follows the adventures of Hooten (Michael Landes ), an explorer who teams up with the fearless historical expert Lady Alexandra (Ophelia Lovibond) in search of treasures, missing scrolls and tombs. Perfect for Indiana Jones fans!
Poldark Season 2, September 4th
The first season ended with a dramatic cliff hanger but now the hunky Aiden Turner is set to return for a second season as Captain Ross who was arrested, leaving his wife Demelza devastated. Apparently Aiden won't be getting topless as much this season, but we're willing to tune in just incase he does!
It hasn't yet been confirmed when our beloved elimination show will be back on our screens, but judging by past series we can expect it will air sometime shortly after The Great British Bake Off final in November.
There's no word yet as to whether Lord Alan Sugar will definitely return, but we're holding out hope for our favourite hard-talking mogul and a whole new bunch of back-stabbing candidates.
The Fall Season 3
Brace yourselves ladies, Jamie Dornan is set to return to our screens as serial killer Paul Spector when the crime-thriller returns this fall. Gillian Anderson will reprise her role as the fabulous DSI Stella Gibson and we're hoping loose ends from season two will be tied up.
Is Paul alive and will he be bought to justice for his horrific crimes?
The Young Pope
Jude Law plays the devilishly gorgeous fictional Pope Pius XIII, who is the first American Pope in modern times. He's stubborn and regularly goes against the wishes of The Vatican.
While the storyline might sound like a slow burner, we reckon Jude Law is enough to keep us hooked.
In The Dark
If you love a good crime drama, then you might want to try this gripping series based on Mark Billingham's book which sees 'Ripper Street' actress Myanna Burring star as Detective Helen Weeks. It's written by BAFTA winner Danny Brocklehurst who did 'Shameless' so we know it's going to be golden!
Fortitude Season 2, January 2017
Our favourite Nordic Noir drama will be back on our screens following the festive season with Sofie Gråbøl, Richard Dormer and Luke Treadaway reprising their respective roles as Governor Odegard, Sherrif Dan Anderssen and Vicnent Rattrey. This year you can expect new cast members in the form of Dennis Quaid, Michelle Fairly and Ken Stott.

Robbie Coltrane plays comedian, Paul Finchley, in this four part dark drama inspired by real life events.
When allegation of sex offences are brought against him, his wife of 40 years played by Julie Walters, starts to question everything.
Paralympics, 7th September, Channel 4
The star headed straight from the jungle to panto...but clearly hadn't had time to learn her lines!
