Vanessa Hudgens Wows Fans As Rizzo In 'Grease Live' Despite Family Tragedy

Actress Vanessa Hudgens learned her father had passed away just hours before turning in an INCREDIBLE performance in 'Grease'.
The 'High School Musical' star proved herself to be a consummate professional last night when she performed in Fox's 'Grease Live' less than 24-hours after finding out her dad had passed away from cancer.
The young star announced the sad news on Twitter…

The 'High School Musical' actress had to pick herself up despite the tragedy to perform as bad girl Rizzo… and it's safe to say she smashed it!
Vanessa belted out incredible renditions of 'Look At Me I'm Sandra Dee' and 'There Are Worse Things I Could Do' resulting in the biggest cheers of the night.
The new take on the classic musical, also starring Julianne Hough and Aaron Tveit as Sandy and Danny, was broadcast 100% live which means there was no wiggle room for errors. Fortunately, Vanessa was so amazing she didn't have anything to worry about!
The show was also dedicated to Vanessa's dad, with a sweet message flashing up on screen at the end of the performance.
