Zoe's Weekly Blog
Zoe's Bristolian living in Southampton, she's a mum to Lois, and a former Butlins Redcoat. That's everything you need to know! But if you're still curious, here's some more...
What's your full name?
Zoe Hanson, no middle name, my parents apparently had a hard enough time coming up with one!
Which three words best describe you?
Just asked around the office and came back with caring, energetic and fiesty. But I would say 'Needs a wee'
Got any nicknames? (And why?)
My mate has called me 'mad-bird' since we were teenagers
Which celeb do you most look like?
Hmm, I don't really look like anyone famous. Unless you can think of anybody? Let me know!
Where are you from, and how did you end up here on the South Coast?
I grew up in South Gloucestershire, where my parents still live and I was a member of the Young farmers club even though I don't have anything to do with farming. I moved to Winchester 5 years ago, then to West End in Southampton where I still live after 4 years as I'm right next to a Tesco and a kebab shop.
Who was your first celebrity crush?
I was crazy about Rick Astley
Who's your most recent celebrity crush?
Plan B, Ben Drew, I’ve been to see him on tour 4 times. The last time I saw him at the BIC I was actually in labour but didn’t realise until I got home and my waters broke.
Recommend a day out on the South Coast…
I love a sunny day in Hamble, with all the boats, great people and fab pubs. Get an ice cream then get the tiny pink ferry to Warsash and back, then lunch at Banana Wharf. And now it's of course customary to have your picture taken beside Dani King's gold post box in the town.
Recommend a night out on the South Coast…
My favourite is Oxford Street in Southampton, lovely restaurants and stylish bars with a great atmosphere, ending up in the Club in Grand Café with Pete Devereaux, from Artful Dodger DJing. Love a bit of old school.
What song gets you on the dance floor?
Only Girl in the World by Rhianna
How are your dance moves?
Probably not as good as I think they are. Having been a Butlin's Redcoat I jump on any dance craze, or make my own up, I love dancing and will regularly do it in the studio.
What would be the title of your autobiography?
We don't have much money but we do have a laugh
What makes you feel good more than anything else?
Spending time with friends, staying in or going out.
Piri piri chicken curry!
Oooh I'm split between Grease and The Sound of Music
Anywhere on holiday, especially sunny resorts or the top of a ski slope
Favourite TV show?
Corrie has to be up there, but I watch any and all tele, I'm a bit of an addict.
