Friday 16th - Community Fun Evening at Norton Fitzwarren VC Primary School from 5pm-8pm. Attractions include a 10ft climbing wall suitable for adults and children over 5 years old, bouncy castle, barbecue, dance display, imitation troll beads for sale, a raffle with days out to be won, face painting and lots more. Monday 26th - Young people from Chard and the surrounding areas will be Rucking, Mauling, Scrummaging and hopefully scoring a few tires again this year as Chard Rugby Football Club holds its annual Summer Rugby Camp. Led by two experienced New Zealand coaches and RFU community coach Simon Boyd, the course which runs from 26th to 30th July at the Rugby club, Essex Close, will give boys and girls from 7 years up the opportunity to try rugby for the first time or improve their skills. Cost is £125 per player.
