North Petherton Carnival has been cancelled following Friday M5 crash
Following a meeting with the Police and emergency services, the North Petherton Carnival Committee have taken the difficult decision to CANCEL their 2011 Carnival. This is the committee's mark of respect for those that perished in the, terrible accident on the M5 motorway last night.
Here is the organisers statement:
Following a meeting with the Police and emergency services, the North Petherton Carnival Committee have taken the difficult decision to CANCEL their 2011 Carnival. This is the committee's mark of respect for those that perished in the, terrible accident on the M5 motorway last night.
The committee wishes to apologise to all carnivalites for this action but are sure you will agree with what we have done, and more so to our valued visitors, some who will bitterly disappointed thank you all once again, during this very upsetting time.
We will be back on 10th November 2012 with our carnival. Thank you all for you understanding it is much appreciated.
