Civic Reception For World Darts Champion In Burnham-on-Sea

World Darts Champion Gary Anderson

Gary Anderson is being recognised for his achievement in winning the PDC World Darts Championship with a Civic Reception in his home town of Burnham-on-Sea.

Taking place on Saturday 17th January, a representative from every league team based in the parish has been invited to join the celebration.

A white Stretch Limo will collect Gary, his wife Rachel, and their baby from their house at 10.15 am, and drive them through Highbridge & Burnham-on-Sea (see route below) arriving at The Princess Theatre at 10.50 am.

There will then be a photo opportunity with fans outside The Princess Theatre, and the Manager of Somerset Skills & Learning opposite The Princess Theatre has agreed that the fans can gather in the front garden area of their building.

Between 11 am and 1pm a Civic Reception will be held in the main hall of The Princess Theatre.

Stretch Limo Route (start 10.15 am):

Start on Frank Foley Parkway towards Highbridge along Church Street to roundabout by the town clock.
Back down Church Street to Asda roundabout.
Left along Burnham Road passing King Alfred’s school.
Left into Marine Drive will then pass the fire station.
Up Pier Street.
Head north along The Esplanade.
Right into Sea View Road.
Along Berrow Road to Oxford Street.
Right into College Street.
Along The High Street to S & D Pub.
Left into Abingdon Street.
Left along Oxford Street.
To Princess Street & Princess Theatre.
