£250,000 Metal Theft In Havant

Police are appealing for information following the theft of hundreds of metres of high voltage electrical cable from a factory unit in New Lane, Havant.

The incident took place sometime between Monday, November 4 and Tuesday, November 12. 

The electrical cable was stripped of copper. 

The copper stolen is thought to be worth around £250,000. 

It is believed access was gained to the building via a rear door and entry was gained to the site by cutting open a wire fence from the railway line. 

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or noticed suspicious activity should contact PC Brent Vine at Waterlooville police station on 101, alternatively call Crimestoppers, the charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
