Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted at his home in the High Street in Shirley.
At about 1.20pm on monday 24th October, the 51-year-old was assaulted by two men and a woman..
He was taken to hospital for treatment and his condition is currently described as serious but stable.
A woman in her 40's is being questioned by police over the incident.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious or any sort of disturbance in the High Street in Shirley is asked to contact the Operation Flambrough team at Shirley CID on 101.
