Arrests After Portsmouth Burglaries

Police have arrested five people in connection with a number of separate burglaries in Portsmouth committed since the beginning of April.

Two men were arrested following a break at a house on Allens Road, Southsea, overnight on Thursday, April 1. A 28-year-old and a 21-year-old, both from Portsmouth, were questioned on suspicion of burglary and bailed pending further enquiries.

Following a report of a burglary at a house on Hester Road, Southsea, on Saturday, April 10, police arrested two youths. A 14-year-old was questioned on suspicion of burglary and a 15-year-old on suspicion of using electricity without authority. Both were bailed until June 21.

As a result of their investigations into a burglary at Charter House, Lord Montgomery Way, on Saturday, April 3, police charged a 36-year-old man. Delroy Glashin, of Lake Road, Portsmouth, is accused of receiving stolen goods. He was bailed to appear before Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Monday, April 19.
