Curry Thrown Over Bus Driver

Police are trying to find out who threw a curry through the window of a packed bus on the Isle of Wight, covering the driver.

A number two Southern Vectis bus was travelling along Great Preston Road in Ryde on the Isle of Wight shortly midday on Tuesday, October 16th.

Someone travelling in the passing car threw a plastic container containing curry through the bus driver’s window covering her and the moving vehicle’s controls in sauce.

The bus driver, a 50-year-old woman from the island, was not injured.

Investigating officer PC Al Spence said:

“There were around 30 people on the bus at the time so some of them may have seen what happened.

"The passing vehicle was described as a red car.

"The actions of someone in this vehicle were reckless and could have led to a road traffic collision because of the shock and distraction it caused to the bus driver.”
