Driver Dies Three Days After Chichester Crash

A man has died three days after he was involved in a head-on collision in Chichester.

The driver, injured in the collision on the A27, on Monday afternoon (2 December) died in hospital.

The 63-year old Midhurst man, who has not yet been named, was driving a gold Toyota 4x4 east at the Oving crossroads junction at 2.13pm on Monday when it collided head-on with a black Peugeot saloon which was travelling westbound.

He was taken to St Richards Hospital in Chichester, having suffered a suspected heart attack and died at the hospital on Thursday afternoon (5 December).

The other occupants of the Toyota - two adults and two children - suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Peugeot, a 63-year-old man from Littlehampton, was uninjured.
