Pedestrian In Collision With A BMW On The Avenue On Friday Night
Driver Dies Three Days After Chichester Crash
A man has died three days after he was involved in a head-on collision in Chichester.
The driver, injured in the collision on the A27, on Monday afternoon (2 December) died in hospital.
The 63-year old Midhurst man, who has not yet been named, was driving a gold Toyota 4x4 east at the Oving crossroads junction at 2.13pm on Monday when it collided head-on with a black Peugeot saloon which was travelling westbound.
He was taken to St Richards Hospital in Chichester, having suffered a suspected heart attack and died at the hospital on Thursday afternoon (5 December).
The other occupants of the Toyota - two adults and two children - suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Peugeot, a 63-year-old man from Littlehampton, was uninjured.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101, quoting Operation Imperial, or email email@example.com.
Officers say many of those were after people didn't secure their car properly.
James Hemming pleaded guilty to wounding with intent after a 17-year-old girl was badly injured in Fratton.
Dorset and Hampshire officers will be carrying out extra patrols until New Year's Day.
