An investigation's underway into how a huge barn fire started in Hampshire.

It broke out on Friday night (2 August) on a farm on River Lane in Funtley in Fareham, in a hay storage building of metal clad construction, measuring 18 x 30 metres.

About 30 firefighters using breathing apparatus used five jets, two ground monitors and three fan sprays to extinguish the fire, which took more than six hours.

Two appliances from Fareham attended along with an appliance from Wickham, three from Cosham and the multi-role vehicle from Havant.

An investigation's now started into the cause.
