Life-Saving Kit Stolen From Ambulance In Gosport

Life-saving equipment and drugs have been stolen from an ambulance in Gosport.

The theft took place between 8.30am and 9.15am on Monday 25 November 2013.

A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) said:

“The Primary Response Bag contains life-saving equipment and medicines.

“The content of the bag is unlikely to cause harm to anyone if used inappropriately

“However we are appealing to anyone who may know the whereabouts of the bag to return it as soon as possible.

“The contents of the bag do not hold any monetary value to members of the public and do not contain ‘controlled’ drugs.

“This piece of equipment is absolutely vital to our staff carrying out their life saving work and therefore the theft could have delayed the availability of an ambulance should it have been required.”

A possible suspect was described as a white man with a black hat, riding an orange bicycle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gosport Police Station by phoning 101 or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on the number shown below. Minicom TextRelay users can call 18001 101.
