Sir Ben Ainslie has been named British 2012 Yachtsman of the Year.
The 35-year-old sailor has picked up the award for a record sixth time.
His successes peaked with winning his fourth Olympic gold medal at Weymouth and Portland in the London 2012 Olympics, becoming the International Sailing Federation world sailing champion.
He received a knighthood in recognition of his services to sailing in the New Year’s Honours.
