Man Attacked With Metal Bar
Two men wearing balaclavas have attacked a man with a metal bar, outside his home in Southampton.
At about 9.15pm Wednesday, December 26, the 21-year-old was outside his house in Ennerdale Road when a silver Vauxhall Corsa stopped in front of the address.
When the victim looked into the car, two men in balaclavas, who were passengers, charged at him. They beat him with a metal bar and slashed him, inflicting serious head injuries.
The attackers returned to the car, which was driven away towards Maybush Road.
The injured man was admitted to Southampton General Hospital for treatment to head injuries. He was released the next day.
Detectives want to hear from anyone who witnessed the attack or saw the Vauxhall before or after the attack. They are particularly interested in sightings of the car as it drove towards Maybush Road. Detectives also would like to hear from anyone who has information about the attack or the attackers.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Operation Fortress team in confidence at Hulse Road on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers charity line on 0800 555 111.
31-year-old Gareth Mills from Shaftesbury admitted December's attack in Ringwood Road in Alderholt.
The 18-year-old woman couldn't remember what happened in Damerham High Street - near Fordingbridge.
The two cases happened in the early hours Cambridge Road and Burnaby Road.
