Man Attacked Outside Portsmouth Pub

Detectives are appealing for more witnesses to an alleged assault in Portsmouth.

A 31-year-old man from Southsea received a serious head injury when he was attacked by another man outside the Drift In The City bar on Isambard Brunel Road between 1am and 1.15am on Saturday, June 9, 2012.

He was taken to hospital to receive specialist treatment for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives would like to thank witnesses who have come forward already. Further information about this assault, no matter how insignificant other witnesses may feel it is, may assist with this investigation.

A 19-year-old man from Gosport was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. He was questioned and later bailed until July 24, 2012.
