Man Charged Over Barmaid Attack

Detectives from Lyndhurst CID have charged a man in connection with an incident at the Lord Nelson Pub in Hythe.

A 22-year-old woman, who works at the pub as a barmaid, sustained serious facial injuries after being attacked with a glass on August 13 this year.

She was assaulted on Hythe Promenade, just outside the Lord Nelson.

Detectives have charged 35-year-old James Pickering, of Mulberry Road, Marchwood, Southampton, with wounding with intent.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear at New Forest magistrates court on November 12.
