A 49-year-old man was remanded in custody today (Monday) charged with the murder of a woman whose body was found in a pub freezer.

Rebecca Thorpe's body was found by police on Tuesday in an outbuilding at the Compasses Inn, Snettisham, Norfolk, where she worked. Michael Tucker was arrested on the Isle of Wight and brought to Norfolk to be questioned by detectives.

Tucker, of Lynn Road, Snettisham, who lived with 29-year-old Ms Thorpe, was charged with her murder on Friday.

He was remanded in custody at Norwich Crown Court until his next court appearance on April 9, when he is expected to make a plea.

Police said a post-mortem examination into Ms Thorpe's death is due to take place this week.
