Man Dies After Eastleigh Crash

A man's died in hospital after a crash in Eastleigh.

The collision, between a blue Skoda Octavia taxi and a black Nissan Navara, happened at around 8.10pm on Tuesday, January 3 on Leigh Road at the junction of the slip road onto the M3 north.

The passenger of the Nissan, am 86-year-old man from Andover, was treated for injuries at the scene and was taken to Southampton General Hospital.

However, whilst in hospital he was found to have sustained a more serious injury from the collision and sadly, on Thursday, January 19 he passed away.

Sergeant Richard Grant, said: "Sadly, the passenger of the Nissan Navara passed away on Thursday.

"We need to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision or anyone who has any information that could assist our investigation.

"I would urge anyone with information to contact us on 101."
