Det Sergeant Gemma Hunter said:

"We have a high visibility presence in the area, conducting enquiries and providing reassurance.

"This appears to be an isolated incident. However, as a precaution and as darkness is now falling earlier in the day, we would remind everyone to be more aware of their personal safety.

"Try to make sure someone knows where you are and what time you are likely to be home, avoid walking in secluded areas alone in darkness and keep your personal possessions out of sight."

Anyone with information relating to this incident should contact DS Hunter at Fareham police station on 101.
